I have a few under body brackets I'm working my way through 'refurbishing'.
They will be media blasted, citric acid treated, Lidl Zinc paint sprayed and I am about to buy Toolsation's cheapest black paint:

They will get a coat of Dinitrol 4941 eventually.

Does anyone have experience of this 'tough, quick-drying industrial acrylic paint' ?

If I could suggest poundlands £2.50 black, its quite durable. It stays soft, meaning it absorbs stone dents rather than chipping and flaking off. While it will never look great, I did protect my motorbike radiator very well, which gets a lot of stone hits.

Hmm. The nearest Poundland is 20 miles away in Hinckley. I've never been there!

The Dinitrol is an underbody wax that resists stone chips well, so that's not too much of a concern.

Irritatingly Lidl's Sunday Magical Middle Aisle of Mystery offering includes their zinc spray, but no other paints. 'Twas ever thus - buy it when it's there not when you need it.

Yes, I have used a few tins of it in black, with and without etch primer, easy to use and seems pretty good/tough. I've not used it on anything living outside in the elements tho.

I use that sometimes.
It's not bad, pretty quick drying.

Some of the cheap £3 a tin stuff takes forever to dry I find.

Used it plenty, as good as any cheap and cheerful acrylic paint. Wouldn't call it "tough" like TS do, just good enough

Aldi's straight to metal aerosol is pretty good. It does tend to clog the nozzle though.

So is Lidl's, but there isn't any in the Magical Middle Aisle of Mystery and I want it for this weekend.
I've used up my stock and will restock next time it's available.

I've bought three tins of Toolstation's best.
