Tools shows / autojumble

Is there any shows that just sell tools like autojumbles but more tool specific.

Come across some decent tooling at autojumbles but its very hit and miss.

They are all often hit and miss been here selling when we closed our tool business and it was good.

Unless that one at Rixton has changed, on the two occasions I went there was never any car boot stalls there. It used to be listed on the motoringevents.net, but stopped after others said it was a waste of time.

It may have changed, but the facebook page does not show any autojumble/tools stalls, just general bric-a-brac.

What's Huddersfield like? Its bike parts we are after at the moment

Huddersfield is a case of make sure you are there before 12 noon as many stalls close and pack up to leave by then. Very little seen in motorbike stuff last visit, can bye tools, toys etc. The Garstang were the best I have seen for bikes as they tend to have lots of visitors on bikes, but the other smaller ones, not.

Newark was good last time I visited but that was a while ago now, what are you after as most now seem to be on Ebay.

Bought my son a BSA C15 for Xmas as he is desperate to make a bobber, so in an ideal world I would like a spare C15 frame.
Also need a rear mud guard to cut up and make a short one, small oil tank, bits for a Bobber seat, points and workings for the engine as mine are missing, so have you any in the shed?

No, no bike bits in the shed, not really into them as never did get the full licence.

Would however recommend that the C15 is restored to as near original as possible rather then mod, if you want a bobber there are plenty of Chinese bikes around.

I spent about 3 months looking for a cheap bike, couldn't find anything. Just a chance phone call to the man who does my cambelts and he had the C15 and I could have it for £200.
The plan is as the rear section of the frame bolts on he is going to make a bolt on bobber back end so once the school project is finished it can easily be put back to classic, they aren't worth much at the moment but I can only see them going up and don't want to spoil it, ideally a spare frame would be best but cant find one locally

I find any of the auto jumbles so hit and miss these days, unless you are prepared to do them all. Rufforth the used to good. The rise in auction sites and the owners increasing pitch and admission cost way above what people were willing to stand killed it. Earlier this year they dropped the admission back to £2, but it's still more tat then gear worth looking over never mind buying.

I've not been to Newark for sometime, for the same reason; even further to go, to find out all the decent stands are 'somewhere else'. And it's a minimum of £6 to get in.


If it wasn't for blokes meeting up for a morning to see friends they otherwise wouldn't, auto jumbles wouldn't have any trade

I feel the problem is we all want a bargain.
If I had done Skipton as a Business stall I would not have mad a profit, but we sold all the stuff cheap to get rid so this no doubt had some affect on the other tool stalls as I was more or less selling it at cost.
I do enjoy going to them but as you say the entrance fee can be expensive.

Yes I want a bargain but I also prefer used, better quality tools rather than multi branded tat.

I think you'll struggle, most decent stuff is sold before it goes anywhere near an auto jumble.

There are the engineering shows, at places like Harrogate show ground, RDG tools, Chester, Axminster, etc go along with Tracy tools and the like. But again not like they used to be, it costs so much to stand at them

What sort of tooling?
My mate bought a job lot of taps, dies, drills and reamers several years ago, he has taken out what he needs and I think would sell the rest cheap as he needs the space
