For all you fettlers and bodgers there is a auction in Telford on Thursday 13 Aug at a firm called Fisher & Banks. It is being handled by Butters John Bee here in Stoke. Their website has a catalogue on their "asset auctions" drop down. 534 items covering welding and spanners and sockets etc etc. All the details of viewing and address are there. It is also going to be biddable live online.

The tool sale today saw really cheap prices considering the amount of kit in each lot. The welding gear was well supported especially from the internet bidders. One chap managed to collar all 4 of the air fed helmets for a bargain price.

Any idea what the air fed helmets are worth? There's one listed on eBay for £350. How much did the Satellite lids go for originally?

Sorry I was not at the auction and just watched bits on line. My memory is not as good as it was and that figure sounds correct. I cannot help you on the second part of your question as I do not use these and have no idea.
