Been curious regarding this point for a while. Dewalt seem to get quite good reviews nowadays, yet when you look at the prices, comparable tools are usually notably cheaper than Bosch, Makita etc. equivalents. How come?
Don't rate Bosch any more, last angle grinder we bought at work is a vibrating nightmare.
Makita is ok and does the job, then we tried DeWalt, similar prices, no going back to Makita.

same goes for deWalt....think Black n Decker and we all know what rubbish that was....bought quite a few D/W from house n workshop clearout sales.......gotta say rubbish....
Now I only buy Japanese corded tools and Milwaukee for the batt stuff.....
I agree, pick a colour, they're all about the same. I went for DeWalt as I wanted the 3 speed drill and afiak no one else offered one, certainly not in my budget (Hilti do a 4 speed...) I've got some Milwaukee and some Snap On tools too now, just as happy with them. Next time I need a new tool I'll weigh up all the different colours again, might get another Yellow, might be more red, might be something new (Metabo has a certain allure to it...)You have to be very naive to say one major brand of cordless tool is better than another. The reality is every brand has tools which are better than everyone elses. Milwaukee is the flavour at the moment but, on some of the stuff Dewalt is streets a head. My lad has Milwaukee, Dewalt torches are way better than the Milwaukee ones, maybe not important to alot of people but we use a torch every day. Milwaukee cordless heat gun is not in the same league as the Dewalt one and mean not even close.
