Tool Belts

I use a tool belt for any electrical work I'm doing.
I've been using the same one for probably 30 years and it is past it's best.

Don't know what make it is but it has served its purpose. Lots of slots for screwdrivers and pliers plus big pockets for other stuff.
The drill holster is too small for modern stuff but it held my old 7.2v drill nicely.
The pockets are worn and stuff falls out too easily. If I bend down the tools end up on the floor.

I went looking for a new one and I got a fright at how much you can spend on a tool belt.
So I was looking at aliexpress for cheaper alternatives. I don't do much electrical work now so it will get less abuse than the old one.

I need pockets to hold screwdrivers and pliers, big pockets for other stuff plus a holster for an 18v drill would be good.

Can anyone recommend something suitable?

Funnily enough I was looking at a virtually identical one on aliexpress. The price was a lot lower!
Probably the same thing.

Never thought of a hammer loop. That would be useful too!

I gave up wearing tools belts as they didnt agree with my back.
I have a tool bag/bucket with mutiple pockets for the tools I need and when I need it I put the tools in my trouser pockets.

Check out the tough built modular system. I dont really like wearing a toolbelt these days, so it's nice to be able to unclip and clip the pouches on to other things and chop and change as required. It is a bit bulkier though, and I only like the pouches with the low profile latches as the others stick out too far for me.

Consider where the butt of the handle with be when in the loop. On my toolbag the butt was at knee level and banged my knee every time I moved. I bought a hammer loop for the belt.

Not in recent years.
I was never a full time spark, it was just a side gig to my day job, a maintenance engineer.
The belt I have was decent quality and I looked after it.

I have back issues but the tool belt doesn't annoy me.
A tool bag isn't much use when you are perched up a ladder fitting external floodlights and the tool you want is in the bag, on the ground.
It's handy having all your gear hanging on the belt, saves the aging legs!

cant get my leather to belt to stay up.....
stupid push click connector....need it so tight to stay up but then cant turn it around after fitting it.....
been looking for an old buckle....
I'd use one of the heavy buckles on my norm belts but had em for over 30 years (had new leather a few times)....
keep thinking about braces.....
BUT I'm a big believer in buckets..

I had already got some of their stuff on my aliexpress wish list but just checked and it's available in the UK for nearly the same price and you can be sure it's not fake.

I do like the idea on it being modular so I can get extra pockets as I need them. Will also be ideal gifts for the family to buy me instead of the usual crap.

The wide back support belt and braces look good plus a lot of the pouches have a kickstand so you can remove them and set them on a bench.

Company supplied us with Plano tool belts, they lasted well in daily use.
