A strip of wood requiring some 40mm, (or so I thought), holes. Turns out the batteries it's to hold measure 41mm in one spot. Bugger. 40mm spade bit for the initial holes, (used the Sabrecut bit I got ages ago for the task. Not normally a fan of spade bits, but those are impressive), then had to enlarge the holes with the bobbin sander. A prime example of how having the right tool when you need it can save no end of hassle.
