Too many have died

Yesterday James Last popped his clogs.

Now I rememebr the mfp record label, and actually have nothing against 'easy listening'. His 'Happy music' I discovered spanned 75 albums, 65 of which were top 40, and at his peak he produced 2 albums per month!!!

Lemmy would be proud, maybe.

We have also lost Ron Moody, mainly known as Fagin in the movie Oliver, and Christopher Lee will be rising from the dead sometime soon.

Sad at their passing, but good to see that they lived such long productive lives and left wonderful legacies in terms of their huge bodies of work.

It's not going to change, unfortunately. Mind you I do see a period where things might go quiet, once all those of a certain era have popped off but before those of a few decades younger get there... by which time some of us will also have slipped off the mortal coil!
That said there seem to be some folk who are unable to resist linking fame and fortune with the need to ram a needle up a vein so they will continue to spring the odd surprise death and I for one have little sympathy with them.
Right, that's cheered me up no end, now where did I put that alcohol...
