Close coupled static caravan toilet.
Is it the 9 inch dual flush syphon i need ?

Is it a case of removing the cistern to replace it or is it done in situ somehow ?

Bring it into the 20th century

You need to lift the cistern off the pan, there's a big plastic nut under there

Get the first type on the list and you won't have to take the cistern off next time as the siphon itself comes in two parts and is repairable !

Personally, I’d ditch the siphon type and replace it with a flush valve. Much less hassle, modern diaphragms in siphon systems last about ten minutes.

I used to allow 1 hour to completely strip and rebuild a cistern with new parts

Some took 15 minutes, some took a lot longer

I really would recommend upgrading to the modern type, the one I linked I have in my own house

Don’t forget to replace the seal between the cistern and the toilet to stop the inevitable leak.

She’d mentioned that he doesnt get on with stuff like I do. Id said that maybe if he doesnt know how to do it and doesn’t feel confident he may be putting it off. He’s no excuse now
