Black hill and the cats back,a spine ridge,I think it’s the highest point of southern England at just over 2000’.
Spent many a day paragliding N-S,along this border ridge for about 8miles,yet never succeeded the S-N run,ah well one day.
The A702 that runs from Crawford by the A74M above Beatock Summit down through the Southern Uplands and on towards Dumfries. Not travelled it before but seeing as Wanlockhead isn't far away, a return visit is planned as part of a road trip holiday spending a few days at each of the highest pubs in the UK and getting out into the mountains.
