I swapped my Insignia out early for a big van as I was due to go out to Portugal again next month. Swapped it early to pick up my huge sheet metal folder.
The auctioneer told me they had a 4 ton forklift on site with a jib and would be able to load it into a big enough van.
5 hr drive each way - ggrrr.
I get to the site - yes they have a 4 ton forklift - with the shortest forks I have ever seen
No chance of loading it end on in a van.
Luckily I run a pallet shifting company. Luckily I took up some heavy duty ratchet straps and managed to find a big pallet and some wooden sheets.
Will get it collected through the network Monday - the forklift will be fine to load it onto a curtain sider.
Machine looks in great condition though so still a bargain.
I am quite pleased with my palletising job!
