I often wonder why people conceive that curry gives them the trots. I think it is the bravado of eating the hottest thing on the menu, when there normal diet consists of burger and chips or pizza.
Then they go for a few pints and a curry and wash it down with another gallon of lager.
I would guess its not the actually the currie that causes the trots.
i've had that. was talking to the porcelain phone shortly after eating then was in bed 6 days totally unable to eat and drink, and 'normal output' was 0.
was told after that i should have been in hospital.
in other words, slight trots isn't the rice.... (staphylococcus aureus is just one of the options for rice food poisoning, the other is Bacillus cereus which is worse, and more common )
i get looser output, if you want to call it that, nor exactly the trots, if i eat any 'hot' food, whether i cook it at home or eat out. the hotter it is, the bigger the stomach issues the next day. which doesnt stop me, i love hot food.
