I am woundering on the quality of the Clarke Mig welders. I am looking a getting a Clarke 180EN to save some money. So what are you opinions on them thanks for your help
Clarke welders are well respected, they certainly seem to be one of the more popular makes on here and the backup and spares availability is very good.
I'd have thought it would be an ok machine to buy, it is a dual purpose machine so you have the option of gas or gasless.
So would that 180 amp with the 220volt be powerful enough to weld roll cages and bumpers, and posibly 4link set ups for my truck for 4x4s. I don't see why not but you guys no better than me.
I bought a 151 over a year ago after a lot of research on here and other sites.
The 151 got a lot of praise and was considered the best in its price range.
As far as welding the chassis on my Land Rover I have no complaints at all. It's performed faultlessly everytime I've used it. No problems with wire feed, gas flow or cut outs.
I'd happily buy a Clarke again - dont get me wrong, I'd love a Portamig or Butters but as a compromise the Clarke seems very good
