Titanium supply

Had a look through old posts but found no real answer. I`m looking for some tube, couple of metres about 3/4" dia 1.5mm wall and some sheet/plate, about 12x6" 4-5mm thick. Any ideas?

I get all mine for nowt (mate pulls it out of a skip!) but only 2" and 3" tube. Sometimes it comes up on eBay, otherwise it's going to be down to ringing around your local metal places.

Wasn`t expecting it to be cheap, but it`ll be worth it if all turns out well. Posted on your other thread Fingers, had any more sucess welding it yet? Is the exhaust still going ahead?

see if zardoz knows anyone from airbus systems in broughton only a few miles away from him.
i would of thought they would use it there but i think they mainly do wings so maybe just aluminium

Still going ahead, but I want to get the plenum chamber boxed off first, then I've got a car tpo finish and sell, then -- maybe -- a garage move before I can measure the angles and get it off to OJZ. In the meantime, the guy I got the tube from is trying to get someone more local (in Lancashire) to bend the bloody stuff. Will let you know when anything happens.

Try Ti-tek. Spoke to several stockholders last time i needed little Ti, they were the most open to dealing with small orders/the little guy- it's been a while now but at the time they had an £80 + the dreaded min order, tube by the metre was not a problem don't know about small bits of plate.

The plate should be relatively easy to source as there's a few places around dealing with offcuts, Fastalloys for example- first relevant result from googling 'titanium offcuts'. Timill looks like it'd be worth a call too

As said though, offcut dealers (expecially on evilbay) can be stupidly expensive
