I am using 1.6mm tips on 1.2mm wire and i have a tip blowing problem. If i use 1.2mm tips it happens more often. I am using a CIGweld 400 (Australian machine) and am welding up to 10mm fillets. Gas is around the 18litre mark and am using pure argon. Welding Aluminium.
