zardoz Old school Socialist Messages 2,217 Location Chetser, UK Oct 4, 2013 #3 For anyone unsure what it involves It is basicly a TIG gun with a MIG type wire feed coming in over the top to the weld (in my link in the first post) when the camera finaly starts to look at the weld you get a good idea of whats going on

backpurge Member Messages 2,397 Oct 4, 2013 #4 Used to demo it quite a bit around 10 years back, always thought it had a lot of potential, just needed a bit of refining. Very fast, especially when using argon/hydrogen or argon/helium mixtures. Still see it in the odd company, know one place that has it mounted to a robot and is using it for nuclear energy stuff.
