Hi, I've lurked on here a bit but I think this is my first post. I've been asked if I can recreate some brackets for my son's employer but can't source some of the material. The main problem is some very small hollow section, 17.5mm x 8mm or thereabouts with a 1.5mm wall. I've enclosed a couple of pictures and if anyone could help I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks

i think your playing with thin steel 1mm- 2mm for start off or even thinner
you happen to be near me so local to us is barrets and they dont sell to the diyer
the other is lancaster and winter
otherwise its the expensive online place depending on how much material that you want
or theres fh brundle but you will find there is a delivery cost with them

20x10x1.5mm ERW is the smallest I've ever used. Finding someone who stocks it might be tough.

What is the application?
A shelving/racking company would buy enough material in a year to have their own profile created.
What I am saying is that you cannot assume that what you are reproducing is made from a standard section.
An option could be to buy another one of whatever it is (new or used/FB/eBay/Gumtree) and cut it up for the pieces you need.
How much do you need? Does it need to be hollow? Find someone with a mill and make it from solid. Depending on the length, drill two 5mm holes down the centre to add lightness.

As thats not a common size I'd go back to whoever your making them for and ask them where they get it from (or of you can change the dimensions to 20x10 which is available).
