timber frame shed , use nailing plates or no

i need to make up some panels for the shed , 2x2" timber frame like most , should i attempt to make any sort of joint at the joins , or use a nailing plate on the corners ? or just steam a couple of screws into it

Really depends how strong you want it, mortice and tennon, glued and wedged or sheeted in osb or just smash a few annular ring nails into the end grain like cheapo sheds.

My preference for easy if I'm screwing into end grain is to use a single 6mm screw about 120mm long and a clearance hole in the end grain so the screw bites deeper, away from the surface so it's less likely to split.

Never used nailing plates so can't comment on that.

those pinlap sheds are rubbish for what you pay for

they use all that youve mentioned because they need them

depending on if its a full panel its either a few screws to fasten it up or 4 screws as goes for making a framework up use gripper nails like there nail gun uses

just two 90mm nails through the top/bottom plate into the stud,
i would seriously consider using plywood on the outside or inside to give shear strength and stop racking, alternatively put in some braces
