Tig welding needed

I hope this is ok to post here...
Whilst I am looking to purchase a TIG welder some time in the next 18 months and start learning to TIG, I can't at the moment.
Is there anyone in the Somersetish area with the capability to TIG weld aluminum would would be interested in doing a small amount of welding for me? I need to weld 4 machined aluminum injector bungs to a cast aluminum inlet manifold, plus maybe an adapter plate to fit a throttle body.
I realize that there are companies out there who would do it, but I would much rather give my beer tokens to a hobbyist/ member of this forum.

Stick a picture up, I am local to you but I am limited to 160 amps on the AC TIG.

Hi Wendelspanswick. I'll stick up a photo when I finish work at 22.00. Basically, I have turned up 4x aluminium collars into which the injectors push and seal on the o rings. Nice and easy to get to, I think!
I also need to mount the throttle body some how, but there are various ideas floating round in my mind for that!

Can't see it been out of that units range. 160 amps is good for 4mm maybe 5 at a push if things are cold.

Use helium/argon mix it'll help out if the Amps are maxed out

This is what I am trying to do







This is what I am trying to mount the throttle body to. Unfortunately the inlet is only 42mm, which I would really like to increase to at least 48mm, the same as the throttle body. My thought is to make a flange with a short pipe that could be welded onto the body of the manifold where the hole currently is, and the existing inlet blanked off. That is still undecided as yet, however...

This will be to fit a Rover K series throttle body.

Can anyone see any problems with that?
It will be a couple of weeks before I am ready, but a plan does now seem to be formulating!

Doubleboost, thanks for the offer of help, however, if possible, I'd like to prefer to umm and ahh it over with someone in person, I'm sure they will be able to tell me why how I'm doing it is wrong. If others are unable to help, I'll bear you in mind.

Looks like a fair bit of crap in there ( return from egr? ). Yourll need to make sure that's all gone from inside where your welding or it'll all go wibbly wobbly

It's just a light coating of oil from the turbo, in the metal it is pretty good, it just wipes off. I was planning on sticking it in our turbex at work before welding.

It will migrate into the metal. Get it squeaky clean and go over it with acetone

I made myself a little preheater out of a broken gas bbq for jobs just like that. Cast Alu always welds and flows a little better with a low slow preheat.
