Tig welder Problem

Hi All

i have a little problem that has developed with my tig welder. it is a cemont 150amp AC/DC inverter.

in the front pannel i have a switch that changes the mode between MMA, 2t and 4t. MMA and 2t are working fine and weld perfectly on AC and DC but 4t wont work on anything.

at first the 4t used to work perfectly then it started to work most of the time but had a habbit of cutting out during mid weld then finally it went completly there is no hf output and i cant scratch start it when in 4t mode.

my question to you all is do you think it is the switch its self of something more.

i called the telford group about it but they said that they didnt know. they also told me i couldnt order a a new switch and i have to order a whole new board but they never got back to me with a price.

Have you checked the switch for correct operation?

i havent stripped the welder down yet as im half way through a job and need the welder. was just wondering if anyone could shed a bit more light as to what could be causng the problem.
