yeah well, it was either black or yellow and i reckon yellow is gunna look pretty good with the esab though if it comes out the wrong yellow it could end up looking kinda odd i guess haha ah well

The Plasticote yellow is a pretty close match to ESAB yellow

Windy Miller, yeah thats what i've got for it i did a little test piece and it looked ok
whoislulu, yeah will do, not sure when i'm gunna paint it yet, gunna make some handles for it that will double as things to keep the cables out of the way of the draw

haha, it's for consumables and that really, just a bit of space left over for gloves at the time being, though, it so quite good stops dust getting on my clean aluminium and stainless welding gloves haha

thanks just about finished it off today, but some diagonal bracing in for the bottle shelf and that, couple of tiny bits and pieces to do and it'll be ready for paint! can't wait

well, i finished the trolley today, and got it ready for paint, but then it all went horribly wrong... i had really good results using plastikote gloss on a bike frame, so i decided to use it for this too, i did 5 coats on the bike with 1 1/2 cans, this plastikote yellow was utter crap... couldn't get an even finish on it at all, the cans started pulsing as they ran out making runs in the finish, then i ran both cans out before even finishing 1 coat.... disappointed and it looks like i'll have to strip the paint and start from scratch...

i'm gunna look into getting some paint i can spray from my air spraygun rather than cans i think...

other than that the trolley looks better than ever though! with a new helmet mount over the welder and a tab to clamp the earth to when it's put away

on thinking about it i probably should have done a much thinner first coat... quite tricky with so many tubes haha maybe i'll let this dry then give it a sand and get a few more cans and see how it goes...

I stand my aerosol in some hot water as well as shaking before I spray and it helps to propel it better in the present climate in my shed.

ahh yeah coud be part of the problem, i'm gunna get a couple more cans and see if i can salvage the paint job... i think it'll be ok, looks bad at the moment, but at least it has a coat of paint on pretty much all of it, if i do another couple of thin coats i think it might just look ok we'll see what happens hm.
