Do you want a north-south (pot rotates in line with handle) type or east-west?
As well as Parweld, Binzel do north-south styles that are designed to fit into their 'ergonomic' handles but i suspect the handles themselves will fit most torches as they're 2 piece deals. http://binzel-abicor.com/uploads/Co...nglish/tig-katalog_pro_w137_gb_2_0-v1_web.pdf Handles and the various button layout/pot values are right at the end of the pdf. There are also various universal strap on linear and rotary styles from huge things like http://www.ckworldwide.com/rotary.html to smaller versions that similar to the clip on holders for momentary buttons but with rotary or linear pots in 'em. The ones Miller do look fairly compact, choice of north-south and east-west but probably only offered with 1K pots?

This is my Miller torch remote, i chose the east/west type (left to right) control as i thought it would be easier to operate with the larger wheel than the north/south one offered,
i keep it on a wp9 torch and only use it on mobile light guage jobs, for thicker stuff i use a switched wp17 torch,
torch remotes can be handy for out of position stuff like a job i did recently hanging off a ladder but can still be a bit clumsy especially when ramping the amps down and trying to keep the torch still,
you also cant hold the torch right at the end or upside down as you always eed access to the amperage wheel,
handy, but not a patch on a pedal,
one thing i found helps on torch remotes is to have the board current on max which is 160amps on my mobile welder even if only running 50amps as it minimises the amount you have to roll the wheel round,
I know nothing about electrical values so not sure if it could be wired to other machines?

Nice one Jim,if it would work on MY evil one let me know! On a more serious note the remote we need is to be used on a Thermalarc 200 GTS,we need a non latching switch to slope the machine up to the welding current ie we hold the switch on until it reaches the preferred welding current and then when we need to slope down we hold the switch on until it reaches the set slope out time.The WTC RDA Switch was perfect
Which you said are obsolete. Dunno about everyone else but i have no idea what a WTC RDA remote looks like, it's difficult to try and be helpful if you ignore questions about whether you want a north-south or east-west type and don't give any feedback on the styles suggested but instead keep banging on about wanting an RDA style.

I've got a Parweld thumbwheel torch and althought it handy I find the wheel is to far down the torch, The Miller sideways wheel seems better

The pic of the Miller that chev put up looks a nice tool. Not for me though I just can't get on with finger or thumb control while tig welding. Bet those millers are pricey.
