That's presuming the op has a socket for a pedal fitted.
I doubt it if the welder uses the euro for the tig.

Although if it has a pot for amps and you can adjust the amps during welding then you could fit the socket yourself if you wanted.

Don't rule out carving up some custom lumps of wood to tape/hose clamp onto the main handle
to make it easier to grip.

Similarly, Frank Ford of frets.com suggests using Friendly Plastic (similar stuff available as Polymorph here in the UK) to make ergonomic handles for stuff:

Try looking inside the door at the feed roller. You might find the switch wires there easily accessible.
