Tig terminology's

Just wondering if there was a list anywhere that explains some of the terms use when folk talk about tig welding...like scratch start and MMA ?

Wikipedia Basically scratch start is just that, you scratch the tungsten electrode on the workpiece to start the arc in a similar manner to striking an arc with a stick welder. It doesn't mention lift-arc starting where the tungsten is touched to the workpiece then lifted to start the arc. MMA is manual metal arc, commonly known as arc welding or stick welding. Most tig machines also double up as MMA welders.
