Well i have a hf start dc tig and i was trying to weld somthing, but forgot to connect the earth lead. When i pressed the trigger, there was the little hf sprks that try to get the arc started even though the earth lead wasnt connected, however, i felt a big tingle in my left hand where i was holding the filler rod and it made me drop the filler rod
. It seems that i was earthing the workpiece, which is kind of scary as it seems dangerous. It felt quite painful and like a bad electric shock. I was wearing gloves as well as id never wled without gloves.
Is this somthing common as it really seems scary, but at least it didnt do me any significant harm
