Could you post some photos of any test pieces or work you have done? A picture paints a thousand words.
No idea why anyone wants to see any test pieces.
The OP has no TIG experience and is looking to buy a machine to learn on, he's also said the plane won't be being built for some considerable years which gives him plenty of time to learn to tig weld.
Give the lad a break please.
Apologies, reading back you did say that in post #11 but I missed it.
In which case if you'd like to post photos of some test pieces please feel free.
Note: All the pioneers of microlites in the US died in their designs.George Beech, Clyde Cessna and the guy behind Piper, all died in their beds.
sorry guys cant resist.
read posts 32/ 37/ etc etc
iv had a few trainees over the years and i definately told them all what gas to use on tig.
he he he
merry xmas to all
Correction, I was coached by a Fiat Race Car welder. He taught me TIG, and would let me leave until I was able to lay an even weld
Well, too bad our facilities do not have a TIG welder, or I'd know that
I hear there are TIG welding courses in Georgia you could go to. Perhaps.
I'd quite like to have a go at TIG but since I'd really want it for aluminium, and that needs the expensive ac kind (that i couldnt justify buying) there's not much point.
Didn't teach you very well then, did he?
Oh, come on. Trip trap.
And a merry Christmas to you too.
