tig or mig

hi im ready to buy a welder for welding 304 and 316 stainless steel sheet and tube and cant work out weather to buy a tig or a mig.my fabricator is using a mig on mild steel at the moment so should i buy him a mig for stainless

Wouldnt it be easier to just buy some stainless wire and a bottle of argon, and use the MIG set you have already?

it would be but our mig is used to much for mild steel so we need to buy a second welder.

mig is quicker but tig is prityer. also what is the fabricator trained in no good getting a TIG if he can't use it

9 times out of 10 it will be getting ground down and polished.hes trained on mig but says he can do both.
