Tig critasism please

Hi guys n gals

Recently borrowed a DC tig to have a play with before I make the plunge and buy my own.

Did the usual laying beads on a flat plate didnt get the "stacked dimes" look but it looked reasonable however no pics and iv now scrapped it.

Tonight i had ago at just making a box from 3mm mild steel.

The numbers are purely for reference not in order of being welded any crit welcome.

Also out of curiosity I filled it with water and not1 drip on the joints

That looks not bad at all, I have not done too much tigging myself. I’ll have to go out and turn it back on and do some practice runs.
That’s why the first thing people build is a welding cart!
This was my 1st attempt the upright cable holders plug into the base.

Youre doing ok mate, few more practice runs and it will improve no end, the staked dime loom takes years of practice to master although a few naturals pick it up much quicker with right tuition!
Keep at it and you wont be dissapointed!

Well I bit the bullet and got myself the jasic ac/DC 200 mini digi set..liking it so far just need to work on stopping shaking not really noticed it before

There not brilliant and these are probably the better ones of all the runs I had done, need to get used to the torch seems bigger and clumbsier than the one on the DC jasic I used.
Pulse function is good just need to learn how to set it up properly.
My foot pedal is on order so have that soon hopefully

Treated myself to some ally tig rods and tungsten and had a quick play around.
Need to read through the ally how to on here again but thought I'd stick up a pic of my 1st attempts.
