Just one question, (at the moment) that photo, above.
Bottom left switch/terminal/thingy/thing/what ever it is.
WHY has it got wires sticking out of it. It looks completely wrong, but i've
seen this several times, on various units, shirly they could've been put inside the unit. (and a switch put there to do (whatever) the...you know what i mean) i hope..
Please don't tell me you put so and so wire together to do this, then other wire with that, to do something else. There will probably be an obvious answer.
I wait your genious. many thanks.
Ps, i'm working now, so saving up for my new toy, so will be asking what TIG for me, in a new thread soon. Will want to make petrol tanks, swirl pots, battery trays, exhausts, manifolds, little cosmetic goodies etc, in ali/stainless/ mild steel etc, for my classic car, and duplicates for others, so we can keep our beautiful cars on the road .
The item at bottom left is a 4-pin socket, probably to connect to a switch on the torch. Looks like someone has bodged the connection, due to not having the matching plug, by pushing wires into the socket holes.
For davida1949 - here is an earlier thread, mainly about the Kemppi TU10: http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3676
On page 2, the member Woody.v8 says that he has a paper copy of the instruction manual for a TU20.
