Tig course Manchester

I would class myself as a beginner when it comes to Tig welding,

up until recently I used it nearly everyday at work(maintenance in a butchery (stainless))

now I can turn the machine on and stick 2 bits of metal together but I want to know how to set up and do a job the right way, different techniques and anything else that helps,

I have searched Google and found various courses but I'm not sure I will need a 12 week course 3 hours a week, I could maybe do with a day or weekend of a talk through of how to do it,

I would like to do ss and alloy.

any ideas ?

I offer a solution to this but I'm a long way from home. Perhaps a local member might help you out with some tuition.

Do twelve weeks, it is not all about welding, there are other aspects covered over twelve week, one weekend wonder will not do you any service.

Thanks for the offer, I'm based just outside Preston and work in Ashton under-lyme so I'm driving past Bolton everyday,

If i could pop in sometime and just have a chat and go from there ?

I understand what you mean, im still looking at whats my best route to fit in to day to day life just now, but agree that the course will give you a deeper understanding of the processes and possible remedys to problems etc
