2.5s and 5.0s - no idea

next one is two different lines ? something to do with HF ?

Tig and Mma - easy one, tig or stick.


knobs........

pulse frequency - no idea

pulse width - no idea

base current - start off current
peak current - max set current


any ideas fellow members...

Next one (lines) is pulse on /off but I don't know why two kinds of pulse - high and low freq?
Edit: may be 2T/4T/Pulse

Dials L to R:

Freq, how many on periods per second
Width, how long the one bit lasts for
Base, current when not on period
Peak, current when on period

Not quite. You see the pulse freq dial has two numbers per setting. This is to use for slow and fast pulse. On the toggle switch for turning pulse on you have 3 positions. Slow pulse, fast pulse and pulse off.
Doesn't look like there is a 2/4T option so base and peak current are pulse setting currents. The peak will be your current you set any way regardless of whether you pulse or not and I'd imagine the base current is your background current. Pulse is a fluctuation of 2 current settings

That's what I thought on the middle toggle switch - fast/slow/off but it's weird isn't it?

Well the fronius pulse remote worked in a similar way. You selected 1x or 10x or 100x or 1000x per second then you tuned in the other dial from 0.1 - 2.0.
So for example it was set at 10x and 0.8 that would be 10x.8 = 8hz a second. 1000x 1.4= 1400hz sec.

That is a good basic machine to get started, it is simplicity itself.
I remember when my first R-tech Ac/dc tig arrived - I sat.and looked at all the knobs and thought what the hell do they all Do.....
now we are into Dropdown digital menus. Different waveforms etc and an almost infinity variable set of parameters

thanks all so far for the help.

went to get some gas, but found you had to fill in a form and wait 24hrs to open account.
as it was late Friday afternoon, he said earliest will be Monday now.
so form filled in, got to call them after midday Monday..

so we have post gas - 2.5 or 5 secs
next toggle i didn't spot it was a 3 way switch. my mistake.
so slow pulse,fast pulse, off.
tig or mma.

the pulse frequency and pulse width baffle me, no idea what to set them at for what your welding.
mig is so much easier

the current ones i can adjust and tweak with for different metal thickness. until i find then suitable.

Right pulse frequency. That's a preference but I often weld at just over 30pps so start at that, below that is horrible for me.
Pulse width set to 30to 50 % that is a default setting. As rich says you need to set your peak pulse above the background, the.pulse is a combination of the two settings since you have a both a low and high side of the pulse

Turn the pulse to off and leave it for now. You don't need it for practice or most stuff really. Just set your current and play
