I have been welding some flat steel but dont seem to get it clean enough? I removed the slag coating from the steel with a sanding disc in the grinder but it still doesnt weld that good. The slag coating appears once i start welding, especially on the backside of the steel? I have some cds tube which has no coating on at that welds really nice?
Should i be using a better qaulity steel or am i not prepping it enough?
