Threading outside of 3/8" Grade 2 Titanium Rod

I am new to Ti and not quite sure how to thread the outside. Diameter of stock is 3/8", and it's Grade 2 which I understand is a softer alloy. Some people have told me it's not much different that threading steel, others say it's a pain in the butt. Would love some input on tool, lubricant, etc. I will be threading on a conventional lathe.

I'd say grade 2 is closer to the austenitic (3xx series) stainless steels than carbon steel but with a couple of things that make it potentially worse. Those that say it's PITA i'm thinking may be talking about harder flavours like grade 5 (6Al4V)?
The commerically pure flavours like grade 2 aren't particularly hard as you say but Ti is more 'elastic' and more prone to galling than stainless. Like magnesium it's also pyrophoric

I'm no machinist so can't do much better than the normal generalisations... lower speeds, positive feeds (don't let the tool rub), lots of coolant (it's a poor conductor of heat) and keep the tool very sharp- once it starts to dull things go south quickly
