Thread size on flow meter outlet?

I got given a Murex Argon/CO2 regulator with a floating weight type of flowmeter. The outlet fitting from it was broken off, I've removed the broken fitting but identifying the thread size is defeating my attempts to replace it.
The thread is either 7/16-24 or possibly M11x1.0

I would've expected a gas fitting to be an imperial thread, does anyone know the correct size for this thread?

My flowmeters are all 3/8 BSP IIRC

Yes, same size as an outlet on a regulator, i beleive they are 3/8" bsp aswell.

there 3/8th bsp, but I have a fealing hes not talking that end, but the small thread that screws into the shank......

What I really meant was the INLET side of the flowmeter, doh!
The outlet is 3/8"BSP
I tried taking a picture, but my camera is incredibly cheap.

On a related note, what regulator setup do people use for back purging? Ive seen a twintap outlet for about £7, is that the way to go, do I need 2 flow meters or just a T piece in the feed to the torch?

hi mick , look at this thread i wrote a while back ,i http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=6825 ended up using two flow meters in the end .... works well
