Thread sealant for shielding gas regulators

Is Loctite 577 suitable for sealing the threads of shielding gas regulator fittings?

If not, what is recommended?

I think that locking is not required, just sealing. The connections of interest appear to be 1/4" NTP and they are on both the high and low pressure sides.
