Thread identification

I have a Denford Viceroy lathe, it has a thread on the outside edge of the headstock which i would like to have a go at woodturning with, so how do i go about finding out what the thread is so i can find a bowl turning plate to fit?

According to lathes.co.uk its likely to be a 1.5" x 8 tpi or a 1.25" x 9 tpi thread. The 1.5" x 8 tpi is common amoung Denford and Boxford metal lathes but the 1.25" x 9 tpi was used on some Denford wood turning lathes so could be what your looking for!
