Hi guys I'm going to be welding up my new van next week which needs a fare bit of welding on the chassis.
I'm going to make card templates of repair parts needed and get them folded at friends workshop. As I'll be doing the work as and when time allows I was thinking of using this primer? Or if any has and better ideas. Once I've done all repairs to van I intend to respray hole van in 2pak

you need something that isnt pourous, so best to check if it is or not as it will start rusting again

Basically a zinc rich weld through primer the upol stuff you are showing. I use it on stuff I can't get to paint after welding.

You can brush on epoxy primer. Lechler stuff stops cure below 5 degree, cures very slowly between 5 - 10 degree but gets there eventually.

Yes I was thinking of the u-pol weld mainly for inside the section where I won't be able to get to.
Areas I can't get to after leave clear and use etch primer once welder be4 painting black
