Went into my local plastic fascia supplier today to spend yet again extortionate amounts of money To be confronted with an A4 size advice to customers stuck to the counter stating only limiting amounts of silicone tubes and products per customer to avoid stockpiling. Reason given was the Chinese 2022 Olympics build are taking up global stocks of the stuff. Before i go trawling Google looking for news, has anybody in the building trade heard this yet? Yet another dynamic to build into the ever frustrating equation of making a living from the building trade.

Asked eurocell for a quote for guttering a few months back.
No stock. Said they wouldn't have any for months.

I pulled away from Eurocell a while back..there foiled backed plastics had a different pigment colour every time i picked stuff up..so if you had a bit of old stock left over (not left in the sun) it never matched to the new stock a few weeks later.

Only ever use white/black from em so not come across it

no good stockpiling silicone it goes off in the tube after a few month
