These suits have advanced so much so fast, the next stage.
A crazy french man and Lake Garda.
What next landing on peaks? a steep dive and flip up and out of it and land?
In memory of. Indeed.
I was concerned at one point about the lack of helmets. I dont think that is much of a worry.
An utterly selfish pastime really, no desire to take part, but I bet it feels great.
There are videos on youtube (not graphic) of similar stunts that have resulted in injury, and, in a few cases, death.
Im fine with people doing whatever they like, but, for me, it kind of takes the edge off watching, knowing that they sometimes cut it too fine.
...which is odd, as i dont get the same with motorsport etc. where people also, occasionally, meet their makers. It just seems a little foolish to risk your life just to get a bit closer to the ground?
That said, i guess its stunts like that that get them the sponsorship, that then allows them to maintain their lifestyle, and, in that context, i guess its a bit different?
I still get nothing out of watching them get so close though - theyre impressive enough as it is, leaving a much safer distance, where they dont have to (maybe) end up dead.
