Nicely said dobbslc. It's a great place to be.Real great forum! A lot of knowledge about almost anything in here, I don't do a lot of "mig welding" especially as I've just run out of gas but I've learnt lots about all sorts of different things.
Restoring old tools is one I like most and I've collected a few old bits and bobs that I love (not in the same class as @spencer 427 or @Dieselkid 63 ) for the quality of the manufacturer before the modern junk was introduced but the accountants at most of the so called tool companies about these day!
We've had our ups and downs with people passing on, illness, the odd disagreement etc but stick together well in the end.![]()
If you think the tool fetish problem here is bad you should stay away from the EEVblog forum, I've read about three threads there and I'm already on the lookout for Keithley meters.Tis very good, but really really should come with a warning for those who are susceptible to a tool fetish, which can be an expensive addiction, that needs to be regularly fed!
What i can almost guarantee is even after all our bickering and in-house snarling, put us all in a bar and it would be drinks all round...Well all except Kent who would be sitting on his own reading "Wild moorland shooting and gate welding Weekly"
Disclaimer.....Nothing against our friend Kent, just being lighthearted here.
