Hi all.
I've been doing some heavy arc stuff in a tight space, with previously-bruised knuckles. My thin gloves are too thin, and my thick gauntlets are too thick between the fingers, and in the grip, if you see what I mean. The bruised knuckles make doing anything in the thick gloves almost impossible.
Does anyone make gloves that have a heavy enough back to take the heat of 140-odd amps fairly close, and thin enough palms and fingers to allow good flex and grip?
There seems to be a convention that the palms have to be the same thickness as the backs, which makes no sense to me. I've seen the aluminiumised-leather backed ones, but I'm loath to shell out well over a tenner without knowin whether they're useful to me, or just as cumbersome as the cheapo ones that I already have.
Maybe I'm just looking for a solution for a problem no-one else has, but I'd still like to find an answer.
Cheers,
Jake
