Got home today to find the theiving scum scrappies had been in me garden once again , all my project material and three catnic lintels . I just love the fact that if they can see from outside the garden it's theirs to come in and take I'd cut their F*****g hands off !

Doesn't matter. Keep badgering them. I got my council tax bill. 4.2% of it was for the police, so your paying for them.

Waste of time reporting to the rossers they don't do a dame thing ! I reported the last time and got " really your bothering us with this " attitude .
No cctv they are cagey t*****s Nice estate in all but their vans are around the estate nearly every day now and their not locals . they must be travelling further afield for there thieving. They know the cars and if they are not there whoosh their in the garden .

That's one of the problems. People put scrap out on the pavement, & encourage them.

they just drove in to my drive in a van during the day and took about a grands worth of scrap cable from behind my garage took 3 scrap batterys and the big battery of my mobile compressor i missed them by 5 minutes on the cameras .even if the old bill caught them and it went to court id get my windows put through or my vehicles would get a paint job its just not worth the stress knowing it could happen any time it would be far more beneficial to me if the old bill dropped a hint on where they live and id get it sorted myself after a few month

That`s almost a double edged sword, you can blight a postcode with reported thefts/ breakins which will in turn screw your insurance premium.

Here, it seems that the authorities actually take sides with the Caravan Using Nomadic Travellers.

They probably know who they are, but won't get a prosecution - the stuff will never be found, and they won't go into the campsite anyway.

My mates caravan got stolen from his back yard by some 'caravan dwellers'. His neighbour heard something going on, called the cops, 2 am, told them blow by blow what the thieving ***** were doing, cutting the lock off the gate, hooking up my mates four wheeler caravan, dragging it out of the garden etc.

The cops wouldn't come because until it had actually been taken there was no crime being committed!?!?

He managed to get it back a few weeks later, but the cops hung a guilt trip on him because a woman and two kids had had to be evicted from it so he could have it back.

And that was his fault!? No wonder nobody is scared of the law any more.

AFAIAC.... the police and courts have no interest in deterring thieving or protecting honest Taxpayers property.
I've heard stories where even getting a crime number to be able to claim on insurance was resisted.... because of course (given there will be zero investment in actually solving the crime) - doing so hurts their crime stats!
You couldn't make thus sh1t up!

It's simple. If the authorities are tacitly encouraging thieving (by ignoring criminals but targeting any victim who tries to defend property or retrieve etc) - then priorities are badly screwed up.

If Police aren't prepared to defend and protect homeowners from crime (& they clearly aren't) - then they need to b*gger off and allow people to protect their property themselves - not fall over themselves in the rush to arrest the homeowner for trying to do - what the police won't.

This carp boils my **** tbh.
