i've been offered a thermal dynamics cutmaster 38 for £350, it's in A1 condition. What does the forom know/think about them? are they any good? Should I get it?
We've got a Thermal Dynamics plasma at work and its been great, cuts nice and will work all day long. Ours was even under 5 foot of flood water and once it had dried out still worked perfectly.
Cheers craig - I think I'll go for it at that price then as it says its part of the hypertherm group too which ive read are good gear. Five foot of water - -pi55r eh.

Yeah it was a big downer at the time, but we managed to pull through it alright. We've also got a Thermal Arc tig set (all part of the same group) and it is a seriously good.
When I was dithering about which plasma to buy for my CNC Plasma machine, I was switching between Hypertherm and Thermal Dynamics.
I needed to know the wiring inside the machine to wire my THC (Torch Height Control) into it.
Technical support from Thermal Dynamics was non-existant and they were very unhelpful
They also talked about me voiding the warranty if I wired into the machine.........
Hypertherm were the dead opposite, and the machine even has a block connector inside the machine for wiring in the THC, with all the information available in the manual
I bought a Hypertherm
