thermal arc 200, bearings shot

Hi, im looking to purchase my first mig welder, i obviously want something cheap and reliable.
I will mostly be doing car bodywork. So upto about 4mm and spot welding.
Im struggling to find a decent welder in my area to collect. I have found a thermal arc 200 for a reasonalbe price which the bearings have collapsed.
Any reason why i couldnt get some bearings for about £20 and get a bargain on this rig? Are they any good?

Hello Karl,

worth a punt in my view, bearings are cheap so you could win a bargain. Just set yourself a realistic price as it's easy to get carried away.

I have that in my watching as it's only about 3 miles away, it's going to go up as there are 61 watchers including us 2 Our local welding supplier probably sold that machine originally. I demoed one for a friend of mine and he bought one and has been pleased with it. They do need a high amp circuit, he had to have a 32 amp fitted in the garage.
