Thermal arc 175TE Arc Master

can any of you clever chaps point me in the direction of a complete tig torch and hose/leads ect for the above...ive bought a rough one for general work so i dont put miles on my Lincoln and it has no torch ect.

Return lead and torch power will be whatever length you want terminated in a 35/50 dinse plug.

Gas looks like the standard 3/8" connector.

Machine plug I can't see, looking for a better picture.

You can put the bits together for not a massive amount of cash if you use a donor torch and hose set. Usually all you need is a brass gas adapter (sometimes) and then lop the existing machine plug off and solder a suitable one on yourself. Dinse adapter sometimes is better as you can inject the gas that way but I don't think you'd need to.

Have you given thought to what head(s) you'd want? 9/17/26?

yea that is large dollar for the thermal item..so your saying i can just build into it a regular scratch start system with the added bonus of my gas comes in from the back like a thermal torch

Yes but it's not a scratch system, it's scratch+lift+hf Nice unit.

I have a second hand torch here I was getting ready to put up on the FS section. I don't want to tout my wares but if you're needing and I'm selling.. I'm not bothered either way man, whatever is cool for you

Why don't you want to use the v160?
Surely that's hooked up with a torch ready to go.

My next comment would probably break every forum rule going and some that don't exist yet.

You've got a lovely high quality unit. Pointless owning it if it's there to sit and look pretty.
A poster would be cheaper.

I do get what your saying. Our kit is expensive and we don't want it subject to anything other than a nice clean working environment.
But if it's good kit (like yours) and its treated/maintained/cleaned as needed it will be up to anything you want to throw at it.
I wouldn't personally throw money at another unit unless (as said above it was gonna be bounced around site). Mine travels a lot with me and the only rule I have is only I can use it. This way I'm in control of how it's used.

I have read the above couple of posts and maybe ime being a little bit ott over my gear and should use it more than i clean and polish it. I seem to have 2 of everything,one for rough general use and one for my private selfish use like a 14 year old reading a porno mag in the toilets Going to Sweden in the morning till sunday so ile see iff i feel normal when ime back and decide a man does,nt need 2 DC tig welders to be happy...

Do you NEED 2 welders to be happy, probably not, but it sure helps lol maybe look at getting an acdc one?
