Morning all.
Am I being unrealistic? Normally I just use what ever I have laying around to make stuff, I have a good selection of bits and bobs, or if I need something, it sheet, which I can purchase at a reasonable price locally. However, I need a bit of 15mm thick material to make something with for a current project. Not really fussed whether it is aluminium or steel, although aluminium is preferable. I initially started looking for steel as I assumed a bit 15mm thick x 120mm (min) x 204mm (min) would be dirt cheap, although I'd get hit for postage. But no, its all coming out at about £15 quid just for that, plus £5/6 for postage. Am I being unrealistic? Now found a bit of ally for about £17 inc postage, which isn't so bad for ally.
Just wasn't expecting steel be that much..!
Cheers
