The Eagle has landed!

I finally got around to unpacking the Victa Eagle surface grinder that I bought a couple of weeks back.
So far I can't find anything really wrong with it, just the saddle gib to the knee needs a slight adjustment. It appears to have lots of grease nipples for lubricationso should this really be grease or more likely oil? The nipples are everywhere from the spindle to the sideways and feed screws.
The micrometer dials are dual imperial/metric affairs made by Vickers in Kent, anyone heard of those before?

They are pretty good, not sure if they work the same way as Gamet versions as found on Colchester and Harrison lathes.

No problem about getting photos although yours looks to be a different model. I'm heading away with work today for a few weeks so it would be late September before I can get any.

Yes they are quite a clever design, yet fairly simple at the same time.

No different to using changewheels to convert between Imperial and Metric. Just a lot smaller.
