I don't know if anyone has ever visited The Chopper Builder Hand Book site. It was a mine of information, on how to build Motorcycle frames, forks etc etc.

There were also some free to dl files on building tube benders, tube notcher's, frame jigs, etc.

Earlier this yr their site disappeared, I've tried to find it many times since with no luck, until tonight. It seems their site was hacked, and lots of info lost.

However they are slowly rebuilding the information. Under a new URL, so it maybe hard for people to find it, if looking for the old one.

So I thought it would be nice to advise the forum of this resource

Thats a great site, or was. Though its no good for those of us in Aus because of our bloody ridiculous engineering laws. Its a great read

I saw one of the "bike build off" programs that featured a chop built in Aus, how restrictive is it?

He was building it for the US so had to comply with their standards, we have that many safety and angineering standards that must be met its a nightmare doing much more than simple custom work to any vehicle

I have a 750 and 1100 slabside sat in a corner waiting for the same treatment

I have a VFR1100 Trike to stick on that new table first, and finish off. Then I might get around to that

vfr1100? what engine is that? the slabside motor/vfr frame?

Just to pick your brain quickly, if i had a road legal enduro bike and happened to drop a vfr 400/750 into the frame what test would it need to make it roadworthy?

It's a 83 Honda Magna (V65) twin, same as the 400/750. I've modified the front end, running a Ford Diff with independent rear suspension as per a post I did a while ago.
