Utterly despicable!

UNBELIEVABLE! To coin the favourite word of Victor Meldrew. Today, the Rotary Club of Rochford were collecting for local charities with our sleigh parked at Sainsbury’s at Rayleigh Weir. Pretty lights and Christmas music playing. Broad daylight, 2.42 pm said the CCTV. Two kind hearted men stole the generator which was chained to the sleigh. A brand new, purchased last week, £1000 + generator. The chain wasn’t cut and we reckon they cut through the generator handle which was toughened plastic. We swore, but cannot let these people get to us and carried on with our fundraising. Local GOOD causes will not suffer as a result. Obviously police have been informed and CCTV recordings handed over. New generator purchased and we are back on Rochford streets again tonight!

In some respects middle eastern justice would fix this. Public floggings, and chopping hands of thieves off. Tadgers of rapists etc. But in our woke society we would end up paying for their keep afterwards.
