They may well have come to some arrangement with their neighbour.

Like the whole thing, not a great lover of the scalloped effect unless its solid bar, Excellent build quality and design looks like it will suit the period.
Just noticed that it will be solid, good job Kent.

Yes and there is paperwork for this and the other side to cover boundary wall act legislation

You know what my taste can't come into it. I can guide but not push
I personally hate tacky gates with lots of weld in components and jobs out of keeping with period homes like glass panels and stainless but cannot turn that work down

The brief was all black. Not fussy and setting like period for the property

The gate comes from this request and the wish for a curved top. I don't want my work to be be too std so all jobs start life on the drawing board

Sort of wish I had a bit more to spend on some and often cost myself extra money upgrading stuff
In the past I have been haunted by rubbish looking jobs done exactly as the client asks that's the only time I step in or walk away

Only hollow is the newals. That is hammered edge 40mm and that is what the client had seen previously
Personally and it is personal I like chs for newals but it adds work and cost so it's not a favourite suggestion of mine

Not strange at all. To be fair there is s place for most styles it's matching one to the other

For instance
I have oak in frame kitchen in my current house with black flay Nero granite tops
In my last house in town I had a very modern German kitchen with synthetic stone full of silver flecks
Every design has its place swapped over both homes would look daft though
