Temporary deck surface

Lol yes. Im a chippie. Wood and brick for conservatory imho
Ex landcape gardener too so installed plenty of paving and decks.

Dwarf wall and fill the oversite with hardcore. Easy enough if access is good.

Lots put there deck in shady areas and it turns into an ice rink in the winter months

Yep totally agree it’s not a maintenance free thing. Luckily we are south facing and the worst bit was a tiny corner shaded by a tree. But it does get a worse rep than it deserves !!

Well thought I’d follow this up .... 3 months later and the “temporary” OSB is still going strong. Issues with the render meant scaffolding for longer (which was erected on my “deck” without any trouble !) which meant no access for foundations etc etc.

Anyway a project for the new year. But it has proved that OSB is absolutely fine (we’ve had some serious rain and it is totally exposed ).
